On Tuesday in a dose of Drag Race UK vs The World 39-year-old Jade acted as a guest celebrity judge.
The five remaining queens created in the episode a large women’s group as they performed the London track for RuPolo, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton.
On the eve of the performance, Roo turned his head to Jade and asked, “How does a record of queens compare to a record of Little Mix?”
Jade replied, “Oh, it’s really the same.
“I’ve run everyone around, and there are ugly rumors that one of the girls is leaving the band tonight.”
Michelle and Roo gasped at Jade’s remark as the chief judge then laughed at the gag.
Although Jade did not mention Jesse by name, several pop-culture enthusiasts with starry eyes explained her comment as a reference to the departure of her former bandmate.
One person tweeted, “Jade didn’t hold back.”
Another wrote, “The way Jade overshadowed Jesse.”
Another fan tweeted: “Jade overshadows Jesy’s best part of the race at the moment.”
The 30-year-old Jesse has announced she will leave Little Mix in December 2020.
After leaving Little Mix, the singer began a solo career, which began with the release of her debut single Boyz starring Nicki Minaj.
A year later, in December 2021, Little Mix, which now consists of Jade, Perry Edwards and Lee Ann Pinak, announced they were taking a break after “10 Strange Years”.
With four albums number one in their title, the girls insisted they didn’t “break up” as a band.
The announcement came shortly after the birth of children Perry Edwards and Lee Ann Pinak.
Perry, 28, shares her 6-month-old son Axel with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Her Lee band colleague is a proud mother of twins with fiancé Andre Gray. She decided not to publicly reveal the names of the twins.
