Shocking photos have appeared showing a moment when an angry bull knocks down his rider and breaks the fence on the rodeo to attack spectators in the VIP rostrum, injuring 15 people.
The horrific incident was filmed in the Mexican city of Tiripecia in the municipality of Morelia on Wednesday evening (March 2).
The bull can be seen rushing into the stands at the “jaripeo” event – a form of bullfighting common in central and southern Mexico – and sending chairs and drinks on the flight.
According to Infobae, the beast – which weighed an incredible 1,335 pounds – approached a metal fence around the perimeter of the arena and rammed it to reach the spectators in the stands before attacking them.
During the conversation you can hear the announcer saying: “No, no, no … Everyone leave the ring. Oh, holy God … We never thought that would happen … Be careful, guys … ”
Reports indicate that several cowboys eventually caught and tied the bull and safely brought it to the ring.
It is reported that 15 people were injured during the incident, but no one received life-threatening injuries.
Some people had to help paramedics who arrived at the scene, amid claims that there was no ambulance or trained ambulance worker at the event.
Visitors also complained about the lack of security in Jaripeo and claimed that organizers used weak guardrails to protect them from such an incident.
After the images were widely circulated on social media, many people called the event “animal abuse” and expressed their anger that such shows still exist.
