Washington [US]April 8 (ANI): The producer of “Crown” Left Bank is in the early stages of talking to Netflix to develop a prequel to the series of royal drama hits.

According to Deadline, the show’s upcoming season is set to begin later in 2022, and sources say a potential prequel is being discussed, although nothing has been finalized.

Any prequel is likely to cover the pre-World War II era or the late Victorian era when Queen Victoria reigned. She was the monarch of Great Britain, who served longer until Queen Elizabeth made this record a few years ago.

Peter Morgan’s series, which will last six seasons before its completion, has probably become Netflix’s biggest hit in the UK featuring huge stars including Olivia Coleman, Matt Smith and Helen Bonham Carter.

According to the deadline, the cast of the fifth season of the show will be joined by Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth and Dominic West as Prince Charles. (ANI)
