David and Simon were in some hairy situations

Britain has talent and his additional shows saw some daring, dangerous and just deadly auditions throughout his time on the air, but some did not end quite as planned.

It was known that audition participants often recruited show judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Williams in the act.

Britain’s Got Talent has been running for 15 years, and during that time many daredevils have taken to the stage in hopes of betting higher than their predecessors.

From knife throws to near-drowning, paramedics and stage fires, check out some of the franchise’s most memorable misses.

Simon Cowell nearly stabbed

Knife thrower Edward Pinder burst onto the scene in 2018 and demanded the help of the show’s most famous star for his knife throwing.

Pinder summoned Simon Cowell to the stage, and despite his nerves, the music mogul reluctantly joined in the fun.

Edward took the opportunity and began aiming his knives at Simon, but things turned around on the second try.

One of his knives hit Cowell, but luckily he saw the funny side when a shocked Amanda shouted, “You almost killed Simon Cowell!”

Escape artist Matt Johnson was on the show the same year and scared the audience when he failed to remove himself from his device.

He wore a solid steel straight jacket that restricted the use of his hands and arms, and closed his head in a plastic box filled to the brim with water.

Unable to breathe, Johnson told the producers that if he failed to free himself in less than a minute and 45 seconds, he would need help.

Sure, Matt showed the hair up, but eventually, during an obvious fight, invited paramedics to intervene on the spot.

He escaped just in time, but the judges did not send him to the next round.

Leading Declan Donnelly had to intervene while listening to the Greek Cypriot Bamba after he left behind a trail of destruction.

He called all four judges to the stage, and they threw plates to the music, while Bamba held on his head a stack of spectacles covered with a fiery napkin.

The glasses fell and crashed to the floor, but the fire was still raging, causing Deck to run out of the curb and put out the fire himself.

Fatal car crash

Jonathan Goodwin was nearly killed on stage during America’s Got Talent: Extreme series after the act of escape went wrong.

He was suspended 70 feet in the air, restrained by a straight jacket when two cars turned in either direction from him.

When the escape artist tried to free himself and soften his fall on the air mattress below, he found himself “trapped” between the cars as they crashed into each other.

Cars caught fire, and Goodwin fell to the ground and hit his head during a fall that resulted in “severe injuries.”
