Serrano, who signed with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, framed the boxing classic with the undefeated Taylor, who barely extended her record to 21 undefeated wins with a split-court victory in Madison Square Garden. While the action unfolded in the ring, McGregor made an online shot at Paul.
“Who the hell is this fool in Jimmy Seville’s pink glasses?” The UFC star wrote on social media, referring to the clothes in which YouTuber, who became a boxer, was dressed near the ring.
Paul replied, “I’ve done for fighters more than you’ve ever. The one who won 5 fights in the last 2 years and you lost 5. The one who doesn’t belong to Dan White. who made the fight you just watched happen. The one who paid your hero Katie Taylor, that’s who. “
Should Paul and McGregor finally settle their differences? Let us know in comments section.
McGregor did answer, but just posted a photo of Seville. He mostly ignored Paul’s repeated taunts that were going to be a fight, but they seem to be on the clash.
Paul, who is 5-0 in his professional career, recently focused on his role as Serrano’s promoter in what has been called the biggest women’s boxing bout in history. He certainly justified that bill when they went the distance.
It looks like a rematch in Taylor’s native Ireland, while Paul is expected to return to the ring this summer.
He didn’t fight after knocking out former UFC champion Tyrone Woodley last December.
Who will be his next opponent is still unclear. McGregor is preparing for his own return to the octagon, while Paul’s other rival, Tommy Fury, has urged him to reschedule their canceled bout.
