Mary Goskirk caused a great stir among the people Emerdale viewers seem to think she could “kill” Marlon Dingle.
Although his health seemed to have improved after a life-threatening stroke in March, Woolpack chef Marlon suffered another health failure during an episode Tuesday (May 3) when he discovered he had aspiration pneumonia .
Mary was assigned to care for Marlon during the day, and her daughter Ron returned to work.
But Mary seemed to have handed over her responsibilities to Bear Wolf and Liam Cavanaugh, who decided to take the bad Marlon to local allotments to breathe fresh air.
When the three men were there, they quickly discovered that Marlon was feeling unwell and in need of urgent medical attention.
Concerned by Marlon’s unpleasant cough, Liam thought it would be best to take him to the hospital immediately, where they found that things had turned for the worse.
Due to Mary’s lack of concern over the past few weeks, fans suspect that things could take an unexpected but sinister turn.
Going to Twitter, Emerdale fans shared their thoughts on Ron’s mother.
One man wrote, “Mary is going to kill Marlon. I see it only now!”
Another said, “I feel like Mary will start abusing Marlon.”
A third suspicious viewer wrote, “I thought Ron’s mother was trying to kill Marlon.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented, “Mary is awful. Is she planning to give poor Marlon away, I wonder?”
As soon as Ron got the news of Marlon’s health, she was completely out of her mind and quickly rushed to the hospital with her mother in a tow truck.
But the women were even more upset when they discovered that Marlon now had pneumonia.
Mary looked very forgiving and told Ron how sorry she was to have let Marlon out into the street, and Ron seemed to understand.
However, although Mary seemed very concerned about this, her previous actions proved otherwise.
Ron and Mary were in constant disagreement over Marlon’s health, as Mary seemed to think her daughter was taking on more than she could live on.
Despite this, veterinarian surgeon Ron put his foot down and told Mom to step back.
