Manchester United fans have apologized to Jesse Lingard for having the club’s “worst coach” in the Premier League.
Lingard will leave the Red Devils at the end of the season when his contract expires, having spent more than 20 years at the club. Despite this, he was denied a farewell at Old Trafford with interim boss United Ralph Ranknik leaving him on the bench during Monday’s win Brantford.
The midfielder was not happy with Rangnik’s refusal to bring him. First, his brother launched a scathing attack on United in his Instagram account before Lingard himself posted a mysterious photo in which he looks confused while playing at the club’s academy.
Many United fans were equally unhappy with Ranknik and joined Lingard in criticizing the German. One even shared the view that Ranknik is “the worst manager in the league”, with only four games left under his leadership.
“I love you, Jesse. Unfortunately, we have the worst manager in the league. You deserve to be removed,” said one fan. Another added: “You have to be on this team, if they didn’t have to let you go, it’s awful. You’re actually the most modern striker on the team and you have the energy and intelligence.”
A third replied, “Jesse, we love you, don’t forget that, we will always be grateful for your time at Man U, believe me … I know you knew you deserve a better farewell … but don’t let that overshadow it your cherished time here … a lot of love, wherever you are going, good luck to you ”.

Another fan called Ranknik’s decision “stunning”, writing: “I don’t really like your brother’s answer, but it shouldn’t have ended that way. Thank you for everything. The way the club gave Cavani to come out because of you is staggering.”
Fifth added: “Sometimes football doesn’t match the feelings. Thank you for all the good memories, Jesse, we had a good time together.” Another fan added: “Deserved Jesse’s departure, good luck in the next chapter of your career.”
