Woman rushed to hospital after fight between men outside bar

A woman was taken to hospital after being assaulted during a fight in Liverpool city centre.

Police were called to Temple Court, at around 4.10am on Monday May 2, after reports of a fight outside a bar. At the scene they found a 43-year-old woman had been injured during a fight.

Detectives say the fight was between two men. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident and is now recovering at home.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing and anyone who recognises the man pictured or has any information is asked to contact police. To help with the investigation, police have released CCTV images of a man they’d like to speak to.

Officers believe the man pictured may have information that can help them with their enquiries. If you witnessed the fight or have any information, police would like you to contact them.

Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: “We think the man pictured may have vital information to help our enquiries so if you know him, please come forward. If you recognise him or were on Temple Court at the time of the attack and may have seen what happened please do let us know.

“The assault happened during the early hours of a busy bank holiday Monday in a central part of Liverpool when people may have been leaving restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the area. If you were in the area at around 4am and witnessed the incident or anything suspicious and have captured images of those involved via your mobile or CCTV footage please contact police as a matter of urgency.
