Chelsy Davy has married Sam Cutmore-Scott in a private ceremony that “very few people knew about,” according to reports.
Chelsy, 36, dated Prince Harry on-and-off for seven years, with the pair officially calling time on their relationship in 2011. And the businesswoman has now married Sam, 37, the brother of Tenet actor Jack Cutmore-Scott.
It’s believed Sam was in the year above Prince Harry, 37, at Eton College.
Sam is a hotelier, and acts as managing director of his parent’s business, the Bijou Collection.
He welcomed a son named Leo with Chelsy earlier this year – something which was only revealed weeks after the tot’s arrival.
A friend told the MailOnline of his the wedding: “They are married. Very few people knew about the wedding.”
While the couple haven’t confirmed the news themselves, Chelsy has since been pictured wearing a wedding band below her stunning sapphire engagement ring.
The jewellery brand owner teased back in 2020 that she was in a serious relationship, but decided against disclosing any names.
“There is someone, and I am quite taken by this one, but it’s very new and I don’t want to say too much,” she shared at the time.
While Chelsy and Prince Harry had a long history together, the 36 year old was in attendance at his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
The Duke of Sussex first met when Chelsy when she was a teenager studying at Cheltenham Ladies’ college. They then got together during Prince Harry’s gap year in Cape Town in 2004.
Chelsy then returned to the UK to study in Leeds and be closer to her beau.
She was born in Zimbabwe and now runs a jewellery and luxury travel business, and returned back to her home-country after their split.
“It was nuts,” Chelsy, who is also friends with Princess Eugenie, said, referring to the press attention surrounding the relationship. “That’s also why I wanted to go back to Africa. Now it’s calm, it’s fine.”
Prior to his nuptials to Suits actress Meghan, Chelsy was said said to have had a “tearful phone call” with the prince.
A family friend told Vanity Fair: “It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on.
“Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding.
“In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party.”
