Waylands Automotive has acquired a Kia dealership in Bicester from Grovebury Cars.

It is second Kia dealership, after opening Waylands Kia Reading in February 2021.

Waylands founder and CEO John O’Hanlon, said: “Bicester makes a lot of sense for us, as it’s close to our other sites and we intend to serve existing, as well as new, customers there with our trademark quality customer service and family approach.

“Kia is a great fit for us, sharing the same core values with a real belief in its products, for example, offering a reassuring seven-year warranty and understanding its customers’ needs.”

Grovebury Cars continues to serve customers at Kia Dunstable and is not part of the acquisition.

Waylands Automotive turned in a strong performance in 2021 with pre-tax profits up 115.1% to £2.7m on turnover ahead 39.9% to £124.6m. On a like for like basis profits rose 78.1% to £2.2m

The group now represents Volvo, Kia and MG brands from dealerships in Reading, Newbury, Swindon, Oxford, Bristol and now Bicester.
