Lucy Mecklenburgh brushes off mum-shaming drama as she enjoys Jubilee street party with baby daughter and family

LUCY Mecklenburgh has brushed off her mum-shaming drama with sweet pictures of her family at a Platinum Jubilee street party.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star took to Instagram with a series of snaps with her sweet newborn daughter and son Roman, two.

Lucy, 30, took to her Instagram stories to show off the party she threw in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Saturday.

The mother-of-two, who gave birth to her second child earlier this month, showed off the red, white and blue decorations.

The TV star cuddled up to her little girl, who was wrapped in a floral-printed blanket, revealing her summery outfit and glowy make-up.

She paired the white gown with simple gold earrings, opting for a nude pink lipstick, brushed brows and black mascara.

Lucy followed up with a cute snap of her son Roman, who was dressed in blue shorts and a blue-striped jumper.

He chowed down on delicious street-food party as he sat amongst the neighbours – who had set up tables on the Essex road.

A third snap showed her newborn yawning in her pram next to a British flag and a large photo of the Queen.

While a final photo showed little Roman standing outside their family home, which had been covered in celebratory balloons.

Lucy looked to have brushed off the mum-shaming comments she was slammed with after posting a picture with her newborn baby.

The former Towie star received harsh judgement from a fan who begged her: “Please don’t kiss your baby on the lips.”

Lucy’s fans were quick to hit back and blasted the comment.

One replied: “Please don’t tell a mum what to do with her baby,” as a second said: “Her baby so mind your own Karen.”

Though rare, the simple act of kissing a newborn baby could be dangerous if the adult has cold sores or herpes.

The condition can also trigger a type of meningitis, which claimed the life of a baby girl, kissed by a friend of her parents who had a cold sore.

The NHS advises mothers to cuddle and kiss their babies, and to have skin to skin contact, saying it actually helps brains development.

Lucy has faced unwanted judgement in the past and has been known to call out mum-shaming on Instagram.
