The event saw everything from an afternoon tea party for the elderly in the community to barbecues, a disco and a special pageant to crown King and Queen of Pitt Park
The community of Pitt Park was full of life and laughter as it celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The street party, organised by the Pitt Park Residents Association, saw hundreds of local residents attend as they marked the monarch’s 70 years on the throne.
The event saw everything from an afternoon tea party for the elderly in the community to barbecues, a disco and a special pageant to crown King and Queen of Pitt Park.
This was the first time that the residents association has received funding for an event, with Belfast City Council and The National Lottery Community Fund.
There was also a special presentation of a plaque to the mother of former community worker John Keery in memory of the work he had done for those in the community.
