The TikTok went viral disguised mobile phone with a camera attached to the ATM in Greenwich.
The video, published by @rorrksiie on TikTok, has the caption “be careful” because it shows a phone stuck to an ATM at North Greenwich Railway Station.
In the TikTok app, it has been viewed more than four million times and liked more than 130,000 times.
The footage starts with a blue-bordered ATM – and says “guys, look what my husband found today in Greenwich! Oh!”.
The camera shows an ATM that says it is “temporarily out of order” before the person taking the picture takes a disguised phone from the top of the device.
The phone is wrapped in blue plastic that matches the blue paint around the device.
@rorrksiie Be careful !! 😱😱😱
A small hole in the plastic is left for the camera and then the phone is rotated to show that it is in the camera app.
TikTok is filmed with the sound of Creep called Oh No, and repeats “oh no, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no”.
Poster Roxy Ahmed said in comments that her husband and a friend were at North Greenwich Station when a friend needed to take cash to buy food from takeaway food that only accepts cash.
She explained that the couple called the mechanic, probably because he was not serviced, and then noticed the phone.
Roxy added: “My husband called 101 and the police came and took the device.
“His friend blocked the card.”
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said they were originally notified on June 3, but the car was under Met Police jurisdiction, so it was handed over to them.
We asked the police for more information.
