A man was rushed to hospital after he was shot on a street in east London.
The police were called to the scene shooting at around 7.45pm on Tuesday to reports of a firearm being fired in Albion Drive, Hackney.
Police and paramedics arrived to find a man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was rushed to hospital for treatment and police said they were awaiting updates on his condition.
The crime scene is located in the district of London Fields.
There were no arrests. Police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Officers approved a section 60 order for the whole of Hackney following the shooting between 8.20pm on Tuesday and 1.20pm on Wednesday.
This power allows for enhanced stop and search for a specified period of time and in a specified area.
