    SOFIA, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) — The 29th FIG Trampoline World Age Group Trampoline Competition (WAGC) kicked off here at the Sofia Arena on Wednesday.

    Almost 800 promising young athletes from 41 countries and regions will compete for 32 sets of medals in individual trampoline jumping, synchronized trampoline jumping, double mini trampoline and acrobatics in age groups 11-12, 13-14, 15 years. -16 and 17-21.

    Several federations came to Sofia with significant delegations, such as Portugal with 74 participants, the United States with 60, Great Britain with 58 and Spain with 50.

    China is represented by four athletes, including two men and two women, who will compete in the individual trampoline event on Thursday in the 15-16 age group.

    Nine 2021 age-group world champions will compete in Sofia, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) said in a press release on Wednesday.
