    A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of terror offenses after police raided a home in Walsall.

    The 18-year-old was detained by Met Police officers following an investigation into Islamist terrorism.

    He was questioned on suspicion of distributing terrorist publications (contrary to section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006).

    The boy’s home in the West Midlands was also searched following his arrest on November 22.

    He has since been released on bail until mid-February 2023.

    The Met said: “The teenager was arrested on suspicion of terrorist offenses during an active operation by the Met’s counter-terrorism command.

    “The investigation concerns Islamist terrorism.

    “The investigation is ongoing.”
