A 28-year-old woman was found stabbed to death at home, and a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a young woman was found stabbed to death at a home.

Emergency crews were called to Stoke Newington, North London, last night after reports of an unresponsive woman.

They found a 28-year-old guy with multiple stab wounds on the territory of the house.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to save her and she died on the spot.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crime Squad are investigating the crime scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is an incredibly sad incident and my thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this unimaginably difficult time.

“I want to reassure them and the residents who will be shocked by what happened in their community, we are working hard to find out what happened.

“Anyone who witnessed anything unusual or has any information about this incident should contact the police as soon as possible.”
