Rock star takes on thousands of people who hire Ned on a rooftop for a boozy Christmas party
LIAM GALLAGHER celebrated Christmas in style with his fiancee Debbie Gwyther.
Ex OZIS rocker hired a roof at London The Ned’s private membership club for a sumptuous holiday gathering with your loved ones.
And to make sure they were properly oiled, insiders told me, Ned called in extra casks of Guinness and bottles of port.
A source said: “Liam and Debbie invited their closest relatives and friends to celebrate with them and the drinks flowed non-stop.
“Party organizers called in extra supplies of booze because there were fears they might run dry.
“Liam’s kids were with their mums so he and Debbie really let their hair down.
“They spent the day on the roof by the heated pool drinking and playing music.
“Then they had it Christmas lunch is there too, with all the fixings.
“There would definitely be headaches on Boxing Day.”
I totally understand that feeling.
What’s Christmas without needing a couple of Nurofen the next day?
It was a good end to the year for Liam, who revealed in April that he was living with chronic pain from his dodgy hips.
The Roll With It star added that he needs a double hip replacement to solve the problem, which he says has left him crippled with pain.
Liam said: “My thighs are f***ing, I have arthritisbad
“I went to check it out and my bones are crushed. The lady was like, “Oh, you might need hip surgery, hip replacement.”
“When the weather is cold, my hips seem to snap and crack and crack. I need warmth.
“I can’t sleep at night because of the pain, I toss and turn. So I take herbal sleeping pills and they have saved my life. One of them, seven hours, no pain, nothing.
“My new thing is Deep Heat. Baked in it on knees and thighs, calves, then in a steamer, as long as I can stand it.’
I’m sure swigs of Christmas port would help ease the pain too
Sam rides in style
Sam Smith goes to New year in style.
The Unholy singer posed on a moped with pal as they soaked up the sunshine Thailand.
Sam revealed that they left the UK for a holiday trip over Christmas, posing on the beach in animal trousers.
Sam definitely got the right idea.
Kim takes out Santa’s claws
THEY say a leopard never changes its spots, and they do Kim Kardashian.
The reality star-turned-business-tycoon posed in an animal print outfit – complete with a bustier and towering boots – as she enjoyed the festivities with her famous family.
Kim spent the day with her five children from her marriage to the rapper Kanye West and her siblings included Chloe and Courtney and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Every year the family throws holiday parties, and this year was no exception – Courtney created a fantastical world of her own Los Angeles house for almost 100 guests.
SIA Hosting the evening’s entertainment, she performed a duet with eldest daughter Kim North, with the pair singing her 2017 song Snowman.
It’s all completely ridiculous and over the top, but I wouldn’t turn down an invitation if it landed on my desk.
Adele pine for wine
SHE may be one of the biggest superstars on the planet, but Adele the same as us.
The Someone Like You singer said she will drink a bottle as soon as she finishes her final Weekends With Adele performance before the big day.
She said: “I’m going to drink some white wine as soon as I get off the stage.
“If I have one now, I’ll forget my texts and take off my bra or something.
“I’m going to get drunk for the first time in months.”
I hope the holiday hangover isn’t too bad, Adele.
Cowell: Passage do it my way
HE was supposed to get married in London in the summer, but Simon Cowell now I have other plans.
At the time, I told how the music mogul planned to marry the bride Lauren Silverman in the capital in front of a small number of his relatives and friends.
But Simon revealed that idea went out the window and the couple have since decided not to plan anything to do with their big day.
Instead, they intend to get married right away.
In an exclusive chat, Simon said: “I like to do things spontaneously and it will be a lot more fun doing it.
“I don’t think we will get married Las Vegasbut whatever we do, it’s sure to be fun.”
Simon previously took over the specifics of the process from Lauren, who he began dating in 2013, to prevent things from getting out of hand.
He has a busy year ahead, with a special focus on his new project StemDrop.
The songwriting platform invites aspiring musicians to submit their songs, from Swedish producer Max Martin helps Simon find the next big pop star.
And it turned out that this idea is very popular.
Simon tells me, “We had two million subtasks and now we have to solve it somehow.
“So it’s definitely off to a good start.
“We want to help young artists get a great song to record together.
“I’ve already heard some early versions and they’re amazing. Absolutely amazing.”
Dermat: Spongebob’s work left me feeling my pants down
Dermot Kennedy with two No. 1 albums and a fast-selling arena tour.
But Irish The star admitted that things were not always so promising because he once worked as an impersonator of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Dermot, left, explained: “I worked all the stupid jobs in the world to support myself. The best one was when I dressed up as SpongeBob. I was about 22, not quite 12.
“I went to SuperValu, which is essentially similar Tescoand I passed out balloons as Spongebob for about ten hours.
I was in a suit that was as wide as the aisles, so if you didn’t get it, you were just knocking things off.
And then you would have to pick it up as SpongeBob.
So with every mistake you make, you’re still SpongeBob, so it makes things look funnier.”
While Dermot can laugh about it now, he admitted it was terrifying at the time.
He said: “It’s so bad out there. SpongeBob was just cloth and it was brutal. The eyes in those suits cannot be seen from them. It was offensive.”
But he said on the Straight Up podcast that he didn’t mind doing that kind of work because he was convinced he would succeed in music.
When asked if he was always sure of where his voice would take him, the Kiss Me singer added: “Yes. I would have stopped otherwise. I’m 30 and I’ve been doing this since I was 16.”
Piles of more garbage
GARBAGE are already working on their next album No Gods No Masters for 2021.
Singer Shirley Manson said: “We started our eighth studio record a few weeks ago. We all still get a big thrill when we get the chance to make another record.
“I was so proud of No Gods No Masters and still am. When we finished, I realized that it was really good, that we had done something really, really good.
“Following this record is a mystery in a way.
“Musically, I know we’ll never run out of ideas.
“We come into the studio together, jam, and the melodies come out and the scraps of lyrics come out at the same time.”
She added on the Kyle Meredith With podcast: “I feel like I want to talk about it.
“Every time I make a record, I think, ‘What are you trying to say? These are things you want to get off your chest before you die.”
“To take that out of your core is so exciting. You feel like, “Wow, my God, I’ve really touched on something here that I’ve wanted to get rid of for so long.”
