The rapist filmed naked girls on cameras hidden in water bottles and on hooks

Dean Gordon, 41 – was caught with more than 12,000 indecent images – befriended his mother with young girls in Waltham Foresteast london.

In one case, he was recorded sexually assaulting a girl while she was sleeping.

It took a team of specialists three days to search the Rosewood Court property.

More than 200 digital devices were seized, including a water bottle and numerous hooks with hidden cameras installed.

In total, Gordon had 12,529 indecent images of children, more than 2,000 of which were classified as the most serious category A.

This included 436 images of several child victims that he secretly recorded naked or semi-nude for his own sexual pleasure.

A number of young and adult female victims, all known to Gordon, were tracked down and had no idea they had been secretly recorded by him.

U Snaresbrook Crown Court Gordon was jailed for six years and eight months on Monday after previously pleading guilty to three counts of making and ten counts of indecent photographs of children, possession of extreme pornographic images and possession of a prohibited image of a child.

He also confessed to sexually assaulting a young girl and six counts of voyeurism.

Detective Constable James Cronin, from the Met’s North East online child sexual abuse and exploitation team, said: “This has been a complex investigation involving professionals who have spent countless hours working to uncover his wrongdoing and find and help the victims of his abuse.

“The victims, especially the children, have shown incredible courage in coming forward and sharing their story.

“Anyone who believes they have been a victim of child abuse should contact the police on 101 and, as this case shows, we will investigate thoroughly and bring those responsible to justice.”
