Budgies by Isabelle Bejean, Eastleigh Community School
They come in many colors, but the first budgie was seen in England in 1878 and was blue. Initially, they only came in blue and green, but over time, other colors like white, yellow, and gray appeared. They also have very sharp eyesight and can register at least 150 words per second. They also memorize the sounds and try to repeat them later.
Budgerigars can be very lonely when alone, and many experts recommend having at least 2 so that your budgie can socialize with others. On average, they can live up to 5-8 years, although some have lived up to 20 years! They really do cost a lot and can be very cheap from £5-30
Experts also believe that they are great for company in general and good listeners. They are easy to provide and cheap too, all they need is a cage, water, food and a few toys to play with (they love bells)
