Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters tackled the blaze at a house just after 2pm in Stavordale Road this afternoon (March 23).
Almost half of the attic in the four-storey terraced house was damaged by the blaze, which they had under control for two hours, London Fire Brigade said.
“One person left the home before firefighters arrived. Neighboring properties were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported,” the spokesperson added.
A 32-meter revolving ladder was used to extinguish the fire.

999 dispatchers received six calls about the fire.
The brigade was called at 14.04, and the fire was extinguished by 16.03.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
