Hackney and Tower Hamlets: Arrest after ‘smashing windows’

A 30-year-old man was detained on suspicion of causing damage.

On Thursday, March 23, police received a report of six broken windows at a property on East Ferry Road.

It is believed to have happened between 1.20am and 8am on Thursday.

Officers received another report of a broken window at a premises in Selsdon Way on Monday (March 27).

The incident is believed to have happened between 11.30pm on Sunday (March 26) and 8am on Monday.

Dave Hodges said: “Arrested, inquiries ongoing.

“I understand and recognize the personal and economic toll of these incidents on their victims and I can assure you that the Metropolitan Police are committed to bringing all offenders to justice.”
