The three stores that will open for shoppers on Saturday, April 8 are in:

  • Castle Bromwich
  • Burton
  • Weston-super-Mare

Poundland will open another new store later this month at Widnes Shopping Park on Saturday 15th April.

The profitable brand will also open three new stores in Belfast Castlecourt, Biggleswade and Stafford in May.

Another new store is planned for Ipswich, but Poundland has not yet confirmed an exact opening date.

Barry Williams, managing director of Poundland, said earlier The sun: “We know how customers appreciate the efforts we’ve made over the past few years to transform our offer, offering them more of what they want to buy, week in and week out.

“This transformation means we need to step up our search for the best locations to bring the best of Poundland to customers across the UK, and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing in 2023.”

This is after the circuit said it would open 50 new stores by the end of September this year.

Branches will open across the high street, shopping centers and retail parks.

The move will lead to the creation of up to 800 new jobs and the opening of stores in major cities London and Birmingham.

Seven new stores have already opened in the past few weeks in:

  • Crown Street Retail Park, Glasgow
  • Dumbarton Road, Partick, Glasgow
  • High Walk, Wellington Centre, Aldershot, Hants
  • Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London
  • Parkgate, Rotherham
  • Spiers Shopping Centre, Barnet, London
  • Timberley Lane, Castle Bromwich, Birmingham

Poundland employs over 18,000 staff and operates over 800 stores across the UK. The first branch was opened in 1990.

A number of other retailers are planning to open stores in the coming weeks.

WH Smith is launching a new luxury stationery and souvenir shopsfor now Aldi showed 30 locations where he wants to open branches this year.

But a number of retailers are also looking to close stores.

Health and beauty retailer Boots closing two stores for several days and B&Q has been removing shutters on eight “mini-stores” since March 11.

How can I save money at Poundland?

You can find your nearest store using Poundland’s store locator on its website.

You just need to enter the name of the city, town or zip code.

Try to check out the clearance racks as well – you can get discounts there.

Non-food with a discount products are usually near the cash registers.

Anything with an expiration date will be on a separate shelf that can be found in different locations depending on the store.

Also, if you notice that a product is on sale for less on the Primark website than in store, you can ask a member of staff to price match it.

But honoring the price is optional, so it depends on who is in charge that day.
