Romford: The podcast examines the case of convicted murderer Mark Osborne

In 2009, Mark Osborne received a minimum of 30 years in prison after being found guilty of murdering 39-year-old Mark Tredinnik.

At the time, Mr Osborne, who was 26 when he was convicted, was said to have arranged for Collier Row resident Mr Tredinnick to be lured to his death and planned it from prison.

His brother Tony Osborne, then 27, of Church Hill, Lawton, Essex, and Wayne Collins, then 26, and Rush Green, of Campion House, were also jailed for murder.

Collins is said to have been the gunman who shot dead Mr Tredinick in Benskins Lane.

Newsquest Investigates revisited the case in the latest Talking True Cases podcast series, which aired for the first time today (April 20).

The podcast heard from Mark’s friend Julie Major, who is campaigning for his release and believes the case is a miscarriage of justice, and Ian Cunliffe, one of the founders of Joint Venture Without Union.
