Bermondsey stabbing on Trafalgar Avenue: Boy taken to hospital

The incident happened on Trafalgar Avenue just before 8.10am today (May 9).

Officers, crews from the London Ambulance Service and an ambulance arrived and found the injured boy.

He was taken to a south London hospital where his condition was assessed as life-threatening.

No arrests were made, the police continue to investigate the circumstances.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 8.08am on Tuesday 9 May to reports of a stabbing in Trafalgar Avenue, SE15.

“London Ambulance Officers [HEMS] and London Ambulance Service [LAS] was present.

“A 16-year-old boy with stab wounds was found at the scene.

“He was taken by LAS to a south London hospital where his condition was not life-threatening.

“There have been no arrests at this early stage.

“The crime scene remains in place. Inquiries are ongoing.
