Thameslink major delays after ‘trespassers’ on route

The incident happened on the Thameslink line between St Pancras International and West Hampstead Thameslink at around 6am this morning (May 30).

Trains on this route also stop at Kentish.

The intrusion incident caused disruption to all Thameslink lines.

Thameslink said on Twitter: “Due to trespassers on the rail between St Pancras International and West Hampstead Thameslink all lines are blocked.”

National Rail said services “may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised” and would not return to normal until 8.30am.

Thameslink has confirmed that due to “congestion”, passengers can use the ticket at no extra charge on “smart” London Overground routes and on TfL buses between Blackfriars and West Hampstead Thameslink.
