But sun seekers should make the most of the heat while it lasts.

The forecaster says the hot and humid weather will increase the risk of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the south-west.

The best sun is expected again in the west, where temperatures have been among the warmest of the season.

While eastern areas will continue to experience the coldest temperatures as the weather continues east and west.

According to the weather service, the temperature will be around 20 degrees Celsius with sunny weather throughout the country.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Warmer air is moving into the UK from the south by Saturday, which could see temperatures around 29C in some places, most likely in the south-east England.

“It will be wider around the mid 20s, although it could be subdued for some with some associated showers.”

The rise in temperature is due in part to rising warm air Spain towards Great Britain.

But there may also be showers and thunderstorms.

The Met Office added: “Increasing temperatures increase the chance of showers, some of which may be thundery in nature.”

“By the end of Friday, some showers may move to the southwest, spreading north and east over the weekend.

“While showers will not be widespread, there is a chance of heavy showers as daytime warming favors stormy weather for some.”

According to the forecaster, tomorrow will be mainly stable, sunny weather will be in many places.

However, the wind may increase in the southern and southwestern regions.

Looking ahead, heavy rain and thunderstorms may occur at times in the south until the end of June, but temperatures are expected to remain above average, according to the Met Office.
