Police said Narayanan has connections across London, including Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate and Ilford.

Officers say he may be using the rail network and have appealed to all staff and passengers to report any sightings of him immediately.

A Met spokesman said: “He could potentially be anywhere in the country.”

Narayanan, they added, “can be violent” and anyone who sees him is advised to stay away from him.

Instead, they are advised to call the police, quoting reference number 23MIS020184.
