Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Blind’ release date is out, the actor is all set to make a grand comeback to cinema

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 26 (ANI): Actor Sonam Kapoor has been absent from the big screen for a long time. After the arrival of son Vayu last year, the actor has been busy with his motherly duties.

She will return to the movies with her film Blind.

Directed by Shome Mahija, The Blind also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lillet Dubey and Shubham Saraf.

The film is a Bollywood remake of the 2011 Korean crime thriller of the same name, directed by Ahn Sang Hoon.

On Monday, the makers of the film announced that the film will get a direct OTT release.

Blind is all set to air on OTT platform Jio Cinema from July 7, two days before her birthday.

Taking to Instagram, Jio Cinema shared the poster of the film, captioning it, “Sometimes it’s hard to ‘see’ the truth. Are you ready to enter the darkness of its world? Watch BlindOnJioCinema, free streaming from 7th July.” the movie will soon unveil the official trailer of the movie.

The special update has left her fans in awe.

“Wow … can’t wait to see her again,” the social media user wrote.

“The movie looks interesting,” commented another.

The makers recently unveiled the first look of the film.

In one of the images, Sonam was carrying a gun during what appeared to be a shooting practice. She put her hair in a neat bun and wore a black outfit.

The film is presented by Jio Studios in association with RV Motion PicturesLead Films, Kanai, Avma and Kross Pictures Production.

Sonam was last seen in Zoya Factor opposite Dulquer Salmaan. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film failed to impress the audience at the box office.

She has acted in several big films like ‘Raanjhanaa’, ‘Neerja’, ‘Players’, ‘Delhi-6’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Sanju’ and ‘Padman’.

Sonam received a special mention at the 64th National Film Awards for her role in the biographical thriller Neerja. After a hiatus, she is about to make her grand comeback.

The actor recently signed a contract with the talent management arm of Yash Raj Films.

If reports are to be believed, she has signed two major projects under the Yash Raj Films banner. Further information about the project is still kept secret.

She became a mother in August 2022 and now she is about to make her grand comeback after a hiatus.

Meanwhile, Sonam is currently in London enjoying the summer with her husband Anand Ahuja and son Vayu.

Sonam and Anand tied the knot on 8 May 2018 in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony.

In March 2022, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
