Tory, who is running for mayor of London, is accused of groping a TV producer | Conservatives

The woman blamed the conservatives London Mayoral candidate Daniel Korski groped her in Downing Street ten years ago.

Daisy Goodwin, a television producer, wrote in the Times that Korski put his hand on her breast during the Downing Street meeting. At the time he was a special adviser to David Cameron.

A spokesman for Korski said: “Dan categorically denies any allegations of inappropriate behaviour.”

Goodwin visited Downing Street and met with Korski to discuss a possible TV project. She wrote that she found his behavior during the meeting “strange” and said “the discussion was not particularly productive.”

She wrote: “When we both got up at the end of the meeting and went to the door, under [special adviser] came to me and suddenly put his hand on my chest.

“Surprised, I said out loud, ‘Are you really touching my breasts?’ The paw bounced off me and I was gone.

“Although I believe that legally his actions could be called sexual assault, I have to say that I did not feel afraid. I was older, taller and possibly wiser than that, and having worked for the BBC in the eighties, I knew how to deal with brats.

“I felt surprised and somewhat humiliated. I was a successful and award-winning TV producer, with about 40 people working for me; This was not behavior I would tolerate in my office.”

Goodwin first spoke about the incident in 2017, but did not name Korski at the time. She wrote that she is now naming him because “if this is a pattern of behavior Londoners deserve to know”.

Korski left the Conservative Environment Network early Monday night.

He is one of three shortlisted Conservative mayoral candidates for London, along with Susan Hall and Mozammel Hussain, who are vying to challenge Sadiq Khan next May.

Korsky is an entrepreneur who runs his own technology company. He campaigned to “digitise public services and make them more efficient” and said he wanted to “use technical talent and services from the private sector to improve public services”.
