A school was evacuated after a suspicious object was reported near Kenton

Households near the school were also cleared from the area when police were called to Shakespeare Drive, between Kingsbury and Preston Road, this afternoon (June 30).

Staff at the school, believed to be Sinai Hebrew Primary School, alerted police at 3pm and cordons were put in place as a precaution.

The Metropolitan Police said: “Specialists examined the object and found that it is not suspicious. The incident has now been resolved.”

It is still unclear what the suspicious item is.
