A 17-year-old boy found in a west London canal has been named as the victim of murder

Victor Lee, 17 years old, from Ealingwas found in the water a Ladbroke Grove Art West London on Sunday.

He was pulled from the canal, but despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination on Wednesday revealed he died of stab wounds.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, Metropolitan police they said that they could name the injured Victor.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, the force said.

Three boys, aged 14, 15 and 17, were arrested on Friday and remain in police custody.

The police renewed calls for information and witnesses to the murder, which is believed to have happened in Great union tug under Scrubs Lane.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, from the Specialist Crime Squad, is leading the investigation and said: “We continue to support Victor’s family at this difficult time and our thoughts are with them.

“As part of the investigation into Viktor’s murder, we detained three people.

“However, I still need to hear from anyone who has information about what happened last Sunday.

“You were in the area of Grand Union Canal the towpath near the bridge over Scrubs Lane or travel up Scrubs Lane between 5.15pm and 6.15pm?

“Did you see the fight or hear anything that could help the investigation?

“If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam, please review your recording and contact us or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“My team will be in the Scrubs Lane area tomorrow, Sunday July 2, as part of an active appeal for information.”
