Jake Quickenden shares his personal story as part of Sarcoma Cancer Awareness Month
July is Sarcoma Awareness Month and the charity Sarcoma UK is launching a campaign to raise awareness of the cancer.
It is the third most common childhood cancer in the UK with over 5,000 diagnoses a year, but only 1 in 10 actually know about the cancer.
Well, singer and TV presenter Jake Quickenden is now an ambassador for the charity – after getting very personal.
His brother died of osteosarcoma at the age of 19, and his father died of cancer four years earlier.
You can find out more about the campaign on the Sarcoma UK website.
Henry spoke to Jake about his story and this month’s outreach.
