England Women’s Goalkeeper Amy Jones

London [UK], July 16 (ANI): England women’s wicketkeeper Amy Jones believes England are a different side than they used to be ahead of the penultimate match of the Women’s Ashes at the Ageas Bowl on Sunday. According to Sky Sports, Amy Jones has said that Australia is the best team in the world.

England Women came back from 6-0 down to level the multi-format series after they took a two-wicket win in the first ODI in Bristol on Wednesday.

According to Sky Sports, England Women’s wicketkeeper Amy Jones said: “Australia are the best team in the world, they’ve been proving that for years, and even though we talked at the start of the series about how we felt we were good enough to beat them – I guess until you do it, you’re not 100 percent sure.” “It doesn’t feel like we’re playing any different [Australia] side It feels like we’re a completely different side and the way we go about things is different,” Jones said.

She added: “Definitely getting wins in the T20s, winning the series was very important for us as a group. We took a lot of confidence from that and hopefully we can carry it forward in these last two games.” Despite the momentum on their side, Jones doesn’t believe the mindset of John Lewis’ team will change.

She said: “I think everyone is feeling pretty relaxed. We analyzed the game well, looking at areas where we can still improve, which really motivated the group after the win.

Amy Jenness said: “Obviously we have an opportunity to win the ODI series, so everyone is really excited about that.” She concluded: “We’ve gone through the whole series feeling like underdogs and we’re just trying to keep that mentality of recognizing how good Australia are, but sticking to our strengths and trying to put as much pressure on them as possible during the game. I think it will be a similar mindset.” (ANI)
