UFC London 2023 LIVE: Tom Aspinall vs Marcin Tybura, updates and results
Cyril Gayne reveals the key coaching advice he ignored during the Jon Jones loss
The UFC returns to London this evening as Tom Aspinall looking to right the wrong of his last outing at the O2 Arena.
The Wigan heavyweight will take on Marcin Tybura in the main event today, almost exactly a year after his ill-fated encounter with Curtis Blades, which ended after 15 seconds when Aspinall suffered a knee injury. Aspinall, 30, has since undergone surgery and claims he is now better than ever, and he will be looking to prove that against 37-year-old Pole Tybura.
In a joint main event for fans of “Meatball” Molly McCann facing Yulia Stolarenko, the Liverpool heavyweight is looking to get back to winning ways. In her last fight, McCann, 33, was stopped by Erin Blanchfield in the first round in November.
McCann’s close friend Paddy Pimblett will be in the crowd to cheer her on and watch what should be an entertaining set of contests including Indy SportsFight of the night pick: Nathaniel Wood, the only London fighter on the card, against Andre Fili at featherweight.
