Man in his 20s stabbed to death in daylight stabbing in Islington
man has been stabbed to death in broad daylight off a busy north London street.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in Axminster Road, in Holloway, Islington, at roughly 11.40am on Wednesday to reports a man had been knifed.
A man, thought to be in his 20s, was found with stab injuries.
“Despite the efforts of emergency services he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,” a Scotland Yard spokesperson said.
“Enquiries are underway to identify the male and notify next of kin.
“A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.”
No arrests have been made.
A crime scene in in place in Axminster Road, which connects to Seven Sisters Road. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has been notified of the suspected stabbing.
