Parents rave about £3.50 ‘water adventure’ park that’s perfect for the heatwave – it’s got 8 slides and a wave machine
IT can be hard to find a budget-friendly option to keep everyone entertained at the weekend.
But one mum has revealed her top tip for a “fun water adventure”, and it’s only a 45 minute drive from London.
Nat said the Guildford Spectrum is a brilliant place to visit with kids, as it has eight slides, a wave machine and an interactive area for babies and toddlers.
When Nat went, admission was quite expensive – at £10.50 per adult – but they do a Bubble session for families which is £21 a ticket and covers 6 people, making it just £3.50 each.
“The water temperature was somewhere between cold and warm. You’ll need £1 for the lockers,” she added in the caption.
However, as an added benefit, parking is free.
There were downsides to the venue though.
“We were surprised to find dirty changing rooms at the 9 am session,” she said.
“And even spotted a dirty plaster in the pool – yuck!
“Despite that, we enjoyed our visit and plan to return.”
You can also access the venue by train – it’s a 25-minute walk from Guildford Station – or bus, as it’s a five minute walk to the bus station.
And another bonus is that there is also ice skating, soft play, and bowling at the Spectrum.
“Oh this looks like so much fun,” one person commented on the TikTok video.
As another added: “Went there, we had so much fun!”
“We accidentally stayed here for 3 hours,” a third admitted.
To which Nat replied: “I reckon we could’ve got away with staying longer too but I was tired.”
“All great if you go when its quiet but if you go when its busy you are waiting for ages and can hardly move!!” someone else commented.
As Nat responded: “And that’s why we do early mornings!”
