BLOOM@Senate House to host Student Welcome Fair

BLOOM@Senate House will host a Welcome Fair for new students from across the University of London federation on Thursday 5 October, from 11:00 to 16:00.

As well as a complimentary snack and drink, students will have the opportunity to meet representatives from student services, learn about clubs and societies, and register for Senate House Library membership. They’ll be invited to tour the BLOOM study and social areas and new bookable event space.

Since opening last October, BLOOM@Senate House has quickly proven a popular hub for students from across the federation to socialise, eat and study. The Senate House Steps, which were unveiled the same month in the Malet Street car park, have similarly become a well-used gathering place, with the addition of an outdoor screen in May 2023 further adding to their popularity.

These new spaces form part of the University’s plans to improve and develop our Bloomsbury campus. A key objective is to make more study and social areas available to students across the federation and to Senate House visitors.

University of London students are part of a wider community of 195,000 students at world-leading universities across London, and a further 45,000 studying via online and distance learning in 190 countries around the world.

Senate House is at the heart of the University of London, and we hope that our entire community – students, staff and alumni – will continue to enjoy the new and improved spaces.
