The Prince of Wales is taking his duty to serve literally by preparing Christmas dinner for a homeless charity.

William, 41, wore an apron as he chatted to staff, handed out soup and scones and shared a joke with diners at The Passage in central London.

He is a patron of the charity, which he first visited in 1993 with his mother Princess Diana.

George, Charlotte and Louis helped mum Kate at the Baby Bank sort Christmas presents for children in need.

In a video published on the Internet Kate explained her trio they became “volunteers” for the day.

In the clip, the royal children were tasked with helping to find Christmas gifts for children their age at the Baby Bank near their home.

The footage shows the four of them arriving in a car, with Louis clapping in delight as they pull the treats out of the boot.

The heartfelt short video saw the three young royals delighted to help, giggling and picking out the perfect gifts.

The employee said, “Come and see what we're doing.”

Kate says to the children, “There are a lot of people here who give up their time and there are a lot of volunteers who come and help. So you are volunteers tonight.”
