The Met Office has issued an emergency snow warning, leading to more chaos over the Christmas break as the storm Pia response begins.
Snow and ice are forecast for the north Scotland from 9pm tonight to noon tomorrow.
Road, rail and air journeys are likely to be longer a warning zone.
