In fact, there are several ways to track Old St. Nick's movements to see how he's doing this year.

Of course, you should be sleeping soundly by the time Santa visits your home.

But Santa and his reindeer are moving around lightning pace so you can catch a lot of the action before you nod off.

According to Norad, Santa begins his journey on the International Date Line, which is halfway around the world from London.

So if you're in London, Santa starts delivering presents well past noon on Christmas Eve. And for New Yorkers, it starts at 10am.

Santa then travels to the islands of the South Pacific, then to New Zealand and Australia, to Japan and through Asia, through Africa and then to Western Europe before heading to America.

And by noon on Christmas Day in London, he had to travel around the world.

Here are two of the best ways to keep track of Santa.

NORAD SANT TRACKER

Probably the most well-known way to track Santa Claus is by using the Norad Santa Tracker.

It goes live on December 24th hereso you have to wait until then before you can follow Santa.

You can also download the Norad Santa Tracker at iPhone and Android.

The tracker is operated by NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

Norad has been tracking down Santa Claus since 1955.

It is said that it all started when a child accidentally called after seeing an ad in a newspaper telling children to call Santa.

The boss at the time, Colonel Harry Shoup, is said to have answered the phone and ordered staff to check the radar for signs that Santa was heading south of the North Pole.

GOOGLE SANTA TRACKER

Google also has its own Santa Tracker.

The tracker itself isn't live yet and won't be until Christmas Eve.
