Former England captain Saul Campbell is being sued for more than £800,000 after turning down a £3.85million flat.

The owner of the apartment, Lady Jadranka Beresford-Pierce, submitted documents to High court who claim the couple signed a contract to buy in 2021 but failed to pay the balance.

Lady Jadranka's widow is seeking a total of around £810,000 in alleged damages and new selling costs.

Lady Jadranka is now accusing Solo and Fiona Campbell of breach of contract, claiming they have not paid the arrears on the apartment, and is threatening to sue them for specific performance of the contract if they cannot go ahead with the deal.

She is seeking an order that would force them to buy the apartment and pay her compensation.
