Anthony Joshua will fight Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia

Anthony Joshua will fight the former UFC champion Francis Ngannou Art Saudi Arabia.

The former heavyweight champion, who defeated Otto Wallin before Christmas, will return to Riyadh to face Ngannou at a date yet to be announced.

According to reports, it will be a 10-round fight that could take place in March.

The 37-year-old Cameroonian was the UFC heavyweight champion but had only boxed professionally once, coming close to a sensational shock when he went to the floor Tyson Fury in October before finally losing by split decision.

He will return to Saudi Arabia to fight Joshua, whose plans to fight Deontay Wilder were derailed by the American's loss to Joseph Parker.

Joshua, who has been without a belt since losing to Aleksandar Usyk last October, had been aiming for a fight against strong Croatian Filip Hrgovic but will now take on Ngannou.

Promoted by Joshua Eddie Hearn posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Tonight we confirm the deed is done! @anthonyjoshua and @francis_ngannou face a huge night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – press conference on 15th January in London, full details to be released soon!”
