UK PM: 'Threats to shipping must be stopped'.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said airstrikes against Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen showed Britain would back its “words with action”.

Together with the United States, supported by Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands, we ordered the Royal Air Force to strike two Houthi military targets in Yemen. I want to clarify that these were limited strikes. They were carefully targeted at drone and ballistic missile launch sites to impair the Houthis' ability to launch further attacks on international shipping. Our initial estimate is that all 13 planned facilities have been destroyed. Nine buildings were successfully hit by drones and cruise missiles in Bani. Three more buildings were hit at the Abs airfield, as well as a cruise missile launcher that was exposed. So far we have seen no evidence of civilian casualties, which we have tried very hard to avoid. Threats to shipping must stop. Illegally detained vessels and crews must be freed, and we remain ready to back up our words with action.
