A woman has died after a crash at a pedestrian crossing in Wood Green

Police were called to Berry Road near the junction with Leamington Avenue at around 11.15am on November 7.

According to reports, a man and a woman in their 80s were walking on a zebra crossing on the road when they were hit by a car.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment, but 83-year-old Grigoria Ianulu died from her injuries on November 11.

The man who was injured in the accident was discharged from the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and was subsequently interviewed under caution as part of the police investigation. At the moment, she has not been arrested.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses or drivers who have video footage of the crash to contact them.

Detective Sergeant Rebecca Collens, of the Met's Serious Collision Squad, said: “If you were in the area and witnessed the incident, or if you were a driver who may have caught the events on your dash cam, please contact us. if you still need to do it.'
