The much-loved “crazy” sporting event will return to Alexandra Palace this summer
REDBULL's legendary Soapbox race will return to Alexandra Palace this summer.
The event is scheduled for June 22, when 60 amateur teams will race along the infamous track in front of thousands of spectators.
The race challenges the UK's most fearless, funniest and bravest teams to prototype and build the silliest cars.
The homemade soap bars will rely solely on gravity to navigate a downhill course outside the iconic Ali Pali.
Contestants will be judged on creativity, demonstration and, most importantly, speed while navigating four notable features.
These include The Water Roller, The Wedge, The Bone Rattler and The Kicker, as well as a special feature from event partner Unibond No More Nails.
Spectators can expect a day full of entertainment both on and off the racecourse.
Red Bull has run more than 100 Soapbox races around the world, starting in Brussels in 2000, from Australia to the USA and Italy.
Ally Pally last hosted in 2022, where 20 thousand spectators gathered when home-made go-karts raced around the track with nothing but momentum.
Some notable vehicles included a spaceship in honor of the first man on the moon, a slot machine and a bull.
