A man has been arrested after cash and drugs were found in Lambeth

Police were patrolling a housing estate in Lambeth, SE24, when they spotted a man allegedly behaving suspiciously and evading officers.

The police stopped the man and talked to him.

During the search, drugs and a large amount of money were allegedly found on this person.

A further search of his home address turned up more drugs and forged documents, according to Lambeth Police.

The man was detained on suspicion of fraud and involvement in the supply of drugs of classes A and B.

A spokesman for Lambeth Police said: “While on routine patrol in a housing estate in SE24, officers from your local neighborhood safe team observed a man who was behaving suspiciously and was evasive towards officers.

“The man was stopped and talked to.

“During the search, drugs and a large amount of money were found on this person.

“A further search of his home address turned up even more drugs and forged documents.

“The man was subsequently arrested for fraud and for being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs.”
