A boy was arrested after a “disturbance” at Tesco, Collier Row Lane

Police were called to the supermarket on Collier Row Lane at 6pm on Monday (February 19) to reports of youths causing a disturbance.

When police arrived, a 14-year-old boy was spotted nearby and arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, common assault and shoplifting.

He was too arrested on suspicion of abuse, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

“The local area team is working to ban those who commit offences,” said a police spokesman.

Inspections of CCTV cameras are being conducted to identify repeat offenders and, if necessary, inform their parents, the police added.
