After two weeks successfully Cillian Murphy — who played the role of Tommy — is expected to win Oscar's best actorr for displaying it J Robert Oppenheimer in a biopic.

yet Paul Anderson – who was identified as older brother Arthur Jr. – appeared in court last month in the case who possess crack cocaine.

Leaving his home in North London on Wednesday, Paul was not at all like a movie and television star.

Tousled and gaunt, he seemed to have aged at least a decade over the past year.

There is speculation that the 46-year-old actor may have delved too much into his role as coke-swilling, hard-drinking hellraiser Arthur on the fictional TV show.

Paul, who also starred in the 2011 Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes film A Game of Shadows and the 2015 Golden Globe-winning Degenerate, was reportedly found with Class A drug after leaving the disabled toilet at a local pub in Hampstead, North London, on Boxing Day.

His lawyer told the court: “He is often recognised, and he does everything he can to please fans of the show by slipping into character.

“He was recognized on that gift day and tried to play along with these people.

“And because of the lifestyle he leads, people often give him encouragement.”

On the other hand, 47-year-old Kylian avoided the harmful temptations of fame.

The bright lights of Hollywood, parties and fast life do not attract the Irish actor.

Married, father of two children – Malachi, 17, and Aran, 16 – said: “I didn't create any arguments, I don't sleep next to each other, I don't go and fall drunk.”

It's certainly not unlike his character Tommy Shelby, the opium-smoking gangster at the center of Picane Blinds, whose penchant for violence and desire to get rich means trouble is never far away.

But he tends to think with his head, and Arthur acts according to his turbulent nature.

Both Shelby brothers are forged in a harsh world, but in real life, only Paul seems to have gotten off to a rough start.

He grew up in the family estate of South Londonhis father left home when Paul was only 11 years old.

He said: “Like Arthur, I was desensitized.

“All I wanted was his love, so even if I got negative attention from him, it was still attention.”

Paul's mother worked as a barmaid, and his path crossed with Shelby-type criminals.

The actor said, “I grew up in a council estate myself and I've seen a lot of these characters.

“My mum worked in a pub, she was a barmaid, so I knew a lot of these gangster characters.”

Paul, who left school at the age of 15, did not have many good career prospects, but he wanted to avoid the criminal path.

Instead, he decided to do ticket touting—buying and selling tickets to events for a profit—like his older brother, which is not illegal.

Pavel recalled: “I had a choice. I could be involved in crime – drug dealing. Or I could sell tickets and become an advertiser.'

Killian, on the other hand, enjoyed a much more comfortable middle-class upbringing in Cork, in the south of the country. Ireland.

His father, Brendan, worked in the Department of Education, and his mother, Jane, taught French.

They sent him to one of the best private schools in Ireland, the Catholic Presentation Brothers College in Cork.

Killian, who has two sisters and a brother, went to study law at university but dropped out after his first year because he realized he wanted to be on stage.

And in his youth, he tried to be a musician as well as an actor.

It's one thing that connects him with Paul, who once admitted, “I've always wanted to be the front man in a band.”

Instead, Paul also decided to try his hand at acting, enrolling in the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts, and then went into the theater.

However, occasional television and stage roles weren't enough to make ends meet, so Paul continued to scalp his ticket.

His big break happened by accident.

Pavel sold tickets for ChelseaA Champions League match against Spanish giants Barcelona in May 2009 when director Nick Love bought a few from him.

Nick thought the unknown would be perfect for the lead role of West Ham football hooligan Becks in his upcoming film The Firm.

From there, Paul's career really took off, starring in Love's film version of Sweeney, Brian De Palma's The Passion, and TV shows like Best Boy.

Killian chose a more conventional path to the top, pursuing his dream of acting on the stage and starring in low-budget films.

It wasn't until he moved to London in 2001 that the Irishman became a household name.

He gained a following with his breakout role in Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later in 2002, as the villain Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins in 2005, and as the lead in The Wind That Shook the Barley. which in 2006 received the Palm branch “Is the main award of the Cannes Film Festival.

Paul was hoping to get the role of Tommy when the Spike Blinders movie was made more than a decade ago.

But he was happy to get the part of Arthur when Killian signed on.

Fans of the BBC's surprise hit, which featured gritty storylines and violence not normally associated with the public broadcaster, were as enthralled by Arthur as Tommy.

The tension between the siblings, which has the pair arguing over various dangerous schemes, is a major factor in the drama's success.

Within nine years he had moved from BBC Two to BBC One, seen Tom Hardy and Anya Taylor-Joy join the cast and attract celebrity fans, including a Hollywood icon Tom Cruise.

Suddenly, both Paul and Killian became international names, but neither actor was comfortable with the attention.

Killian found it “offensive” for fans to take pictures of him in public and chose not to post images on social media.

The private actor returned to Ireland in 2015 with his artist wife Yvonne McGuinness, to whom he has been married for nearly 20 years, and their children.

He chooses to work only half a year in order to spend more time with his family.

Killian, who met Yvonne in 1996, said: “I try not to go from job to job to job because that means you live in a bubble of set, hotel, set, hotel, plane, film festivals, which for me this is not reality

“So I just check it for six months out of the year.”

This approach certainly didn't hurt Killian's career because he had already won Bafta and a Golden Globe this year for his role in Nolan's Oppenheimer, a dramatization of the creation of the first nuclear weapon.

Paul does not talk about his romantic relationships, as he tries to stay aloof, although for some time he was linked to jewelry designer Steffi Clarke.

He posts on Instagram and also hangs out with other stars like Tom Hardy and Guy Ritchie.

At what point his social life took a dark turn is unclear.

It certainly came as a shock when Paul appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court in North London in late January charged with possessing cocaine, amphetamines and two prescription drugs.

His lawyer denied he had smoked the highly addictive banned substance, but Paul pleaded guilty to possession and was fined £1,345.

The Sun also revealed last month that a Peaky Blinders co-star had complained about Paul's behaviour, but he denied any wrongdoing.

There are fears that if an actor is going through a personal crisis, it could disrupt future plans Peaky shori moviewhich is under development.

He has hinted in the past that coping with his success has not been easy.

Five years ago, Paul said: “A lot of time in my life I feel like an impostor.

“I still look at myself sometimes and think, 'I can't do this.'

“I have tremendous self-belief, ego and drive, but I also have low self-esteem and crippling self-doubt.”

Fans will be hoping that this brilliant actor can overcome these fears.
