Sean Dyche is wary of Tottenham’s threat despite recent problems

Sean Dyche told his Everton players to prepare for a better version of Tottenham on Monday.

Spurs have endured a turbulent couple of weeks following the sudden departure of their manager Antonio Conte and managing director with a ban Italy extended worldwide.

However, despite their struggles, the London side are still fighting for a place in the Premier League’s top four and Dyche remains wary of their quality ahead of the crucial meeting with his side at Goodison Park.

The former Burnley boss said: “For all that is said about these times – and of course there are different reasons why – at the end of the day the whistle blows and you are playing against a good group of players without a shadow of a doubt.

“They’re still doing pretty well in the league despite all the hype. They are definitely a side to be reckoned with and you have to make sure you are at your level.

“I say that all the time because it’s important to remember that as a group.

“Anything that is useful, we will take, of course, but it always starts with us. Every game starts with us.

“Are we prepared? Are we prepared morally and physically? Are we organized? Do we know everything we need to do to try and win the game? That will be my main focus, that’s for sure.”

Dyche admits he doesn’t know how Spurs will approach the game under management Christian StelliniConte’s former assistant, who led the team until the end of the season.

Still, he hopes his players can adapt to the challenge.

Everton are one of nine teams relegated but have started to show their fighting qualities under Dyche, who took charge of the team in January.

The Toffees will come into the game unbeaten in their last three matches and bounced back to draw 2-2 at Chelsea in their last outing.

Disch said: “I don’t think there will be any radical changes (from Spurs). Maybe, but I doubt it.

“We’ll have to wait and see, but the good thing about the Premier League and the players I have here is that they’ve been through a lot this season and other seasons – facing different tactical situations, different styles of play, etc. .

“You have to be adaptable and flexible, and we will be.”

Everton will be without a striker again Dominic Calvert-Lewinwho is yet to return to full training after a hip problem but has no further injury problems since the international break.
